Wonderful old paper Mache ? theater mask

This is only one of the similar masks that I found in an old artist loft here in Connecticut

I understand these mask were used in a old N.Y. Production / Play Decades Ago

The hand painted features this mask has two holes on each side of this mask which was undoubtedly used to attach a string to wear
