Original signed Longines high quality 17 jewel wind up Swiss mechanical with "Inca-Bloc"*, hand winding.
Good original condition.
CASE:
Stainless steel RARE restored case, signed Longines ref.number 373....
DIAL:
Metal dial in good condition restored. Signed Longines..
SIZE:
34.5 mm (not counting the crown), 43 mm long (lugs to lugs).
BAND:
new, nylon 18 mm.

This unique watch was kept till our time in good condition. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described. Photos are of the actual watch.

A LITTLE HISTORY:
Longines is a luxury watch company based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832, it is owned by the Swatch Group. Its winged hourglass logo is the oldest registered trademark for a watchmaker.
Longines is known for its "Aviators" range of watches. A company director was a friend of Charles Lindbergh; after his transatlantic flight, Lindbergh designed a pilot watch to help with air navigation. Built to his specifications, it is still produced today.
Award watches.
During the WWII war, the Soviet factories could not provide the required number ofl watches, much had to buy more abroad, a large number of watches fell into the hands of the military as trophies. With the start of the counterattack of the Soviet army, “trophy teams” began to operate in its units, following in the wake of the attacking units. Watches collected by such teams entered the award fund. Watches often turned out to be more valuable gifts than medals of military valor. The command understood that their subordinates might simply not live up to the moment of awarding a medal or an order.
