COPPER CARBONATE ~ 50 TO 500 GRAMS ~ CERAMICS ~ POTTERY ~ GLAZE
Copper carbonate 3-7% will give an apple green colour under neutral or oxidising conditions. Yellow-greens in potash glaze, Blue-greens in barium glaze. If used in alkaline glazes it will give a turquoise blue colour. Fired under reduction it creates a copper red or sang de-boeuf.
Be careful if adding to low solubility glazes, it causes the solubility of the lead to be greatly increased. Strong flux.

This substance is harmful by inhalation, harmful if swallowed, irritating to eyes and irritating to the respiratory system.
- Avoid contact with skin if possible.
- Wash hands after use.
- Avoid the generation of dust.
- Keep away from food / drink and do not eat or drink when using the material.
- Use good workshop hygiene practices.
