The MAXAIR500 is a submersible septic tank aerator that sits at the bottom of the aeration tank. A motor rotates the impeller, a propeller-like device, drawing fresh air via a long PVC pipe or hose. The impeller mixes this air with wastewater, creating many bubbles which work to distribute oxygen throughout the tank. A good amount of dissolved oxygen is vital for the aerobic bacteria to process your wastewater.
