DESCRIPTION  This original lithograph is of the Minaret Of The Principal Mosque In Siout, Upper Egypt, from the Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt, and Nubia  drawings made on the spot by David Roberts R.A. Lithographed by louis Haghe and published by F.G Moon between 1842 and 1849. Hand coloured and in good condition.

ARTIST  David Roberts R.A, was a Scottish painter. He is especially known for the Holy Land, Syria, Idumea,  Arabia, Egypt, and Nubia, a prolific series of detailed lithograph prints of Egypt and the Near East that he produced from sketches he made during long tours of the region. He was elected as a Royal Academician in 1841.
