Pair of Vintage Wood Virginia State Map Place Card Holders / "Sculptures" VSAP


All of the art work and collectibles being sold by Adams-Byrd Fine Art & Antiques have been collected and selected one at a time by the proprietor, an art historian with many years of training and experience in university art history departments, museums, galleries, and historic sites both in the U.S. and abroad.  The business has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for many years. The art and collectibles that we are offering to eBay buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully “curated” by us. 



This vintage pair of Virginia state collectibles marked the places at a VSAP event.  One was for the VSAP PRESIDENT (on the label on the top of the base); handwritten on a small label on the underside of the base is --- MRS. J. York Welborn   VSAP PRES.  On the other one, both the label on the front of the state and the label on the top of the base are blank.

These are interesting vintage state map collectibles for those who collect unique pieces from the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Each state map is supported by two vertical wires (thin metal posts) that are mounted in the base.

Approximate Dimensions:    4 3/8" tall, 4 1/4" (4 1/8" at the base), under 1 3/4"

These are in used vintage condition.  The paper labels are faded, a bit soiled, and bent at some corners and edges.

We do not know what VSAP means.  Now there are several possibilities, but they could have been the abbreviation for something entirely different decades ago.

Payment: For auction items, payment is expected within 3 days of purchase.  After 4 days, an unpaid item case may be opened with eBay so that the item can be relisted or second chance offers may be made to other bidders.  We require immediate payment for Buy it Now items.

 

Shipping: We aim to ship within 3 business days of receiving payment, however delays may occur – in the event of a delay, we will update you on the progress of your shipment.  We always ship with delivery confirmation / tracking.
