RARE  Antique THORENS 30 Tooth Comb Cyl. Cuckoo Clock Music Box Movement. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS First Class.

From a 60 year accumulation of things out of my father's clock shop is the very rare and hard to find Thorens cylinder music box movement.

This is new old stock, never sold or used, was still in original packaging (plastic bag) just taken out for pictures.

Swiss made and purchased directly from Germany in 1966, has been stored in a climate controlled clock shop.

This movement is for the main wheel drive of the cuckoo clock, I do not know how this is installed, if you are not already experienced, I would suggest you seek a clockmaker who is familiar with the Thorens music box and how it is installed.  Thorens is known as one of, if not the best sounding and quality made music box of it's time. I am not a watchmaker or clockmaker my late father was, he was one of the most knowledgeable keeper's of the time that I knew, unfortunately I cannot remember everything that he told me over the years. • Cylinder post is approx. 2.2mm diameter and 13mm length
• Comb is 31mm wide, Cylinder is 34mm wide
• Metal base is 45mm wide.
• This music box or any of them for that matter should be handled with great care so as not to damage the comb or the teeth on the cylinder.
