Bio
Franz
was born in Vienna Austria. In 1971 he moved to Australia at the age of 21. He
lived at first in Wodonga and worked in Albury as a Painter and Decorator.
Impressed by the ruggedness and big sky of Australian landscape he spent much
time with his camera capturing all that inspired him. In 1974 he started to
paint Australian landscapes inspired by the Heidelberg Artist and their
impressionist approach to landscape. He now lives in Sydney. Franz is
painting Plein Air and in his studio. His style is impressionism and lately his
art is a bit more abstract impressionism specially his pallet knife paintings.
He paints both with brushes and pallet knife. Hi, is inspired by the beauty of
Australian landscape and waterways interpreted through the eyes of his Christian
Faith.
