This Rare Men's Vintage Gruen 21 was made in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1950 using the first American Manufactured Gruen 335 Veri-Thin Movement. The 21 Jewel movement is housed in Yellow 10K Gold Filled “Cased and Timed in USA by Gruen Watch Co.” Gruen made a series of Playful Round and Rectangular Watches during this era, but this is one of the rarest and most sought after.

This is Just an Absolutely Fabulous Looking Timepiece! Even though it  Looks Brand New, I had the movement serviced to give the buyer the utmost confidence in purchasing this Fun and Rare timepiece.  The  Case with Raised Dots used as the hour markers, is Bright and Shiny, with a little bit of wear on the bottom of the case edges, typical for Gruen watches. I dare you to find a nicer model!!!! A Complete Work of Art which can be worn every day and with the Lizard Calf Leather Band and can be worn by a Man or a Woman right out of the box. Gruen is known for coming up with versatile and highly-precise timepieces. The Gruen 21 is no exception. While it was assembled directly in the United States, the timepiece’s functions are on par with those watches directly produced in Switzerland. The company was able to set the bar higher by releasing this model. It also solidified their title as a well-loved vintage label.

 Please Note that Men's watches made in the 1950's are smaller than Men's watches made today.  As Such, this Gruen 21 can be worn by a Man or a Woman! So please look at the measurements before bidding.
