Commonly known as Caper Spurge, their use as a mole deterrent has been known of for many years. Amazingly there has been no formal research on this purported property, though we have to say that from our own experience they do indeed work!
It is thought that the roots exude a scent into the soil that the moles do not like (and may also taint the flavour of worms making them unpalatable) - and so the moles relocate elsewhere.
The plant itself is a highly ornamental architectural plant with erect stems of glaucous-green long thin leaves.
Any questions, please ask. Many thanks!
