Methods

Use standard torch such as propane, butane, mapp or oxy-acetylene! Could avoid the need for expensive TIG repairs.

With recent advancements in metallurgy, HTS-2000 is found to be the easiest, fastest, and strongest brazing rod ever to be developed! Made for all non-ferrous metals and aluminium parts, HTS-2000 is a second generation Industrial Strength Brazing Rod created from a revolutionary new formula.

Not to be confused with Alumaloy, Alumaweld, Alumarod, Durafix, Aladdin 3 in 1, or any other first generation rods most of them consisting of 3 alloys. HTS-2000 is a unique stand-alone product, Comprised of nine alloys that cost more to produce and through exhaustive testing led to this superior advanced technology. HTS-2000 has an elongation of 10% in 2 inches (rather than the standard 3% like the first generation rods) which makes HTS-2000 3 times more flexible and stronger than any of its competitors. It also easily penetrates past impurities that lay below the metal's surface which may be impossible to penetrate with competitors materials.

·         Use Heat Source, such as propane, butane, mapp, or an oxy-acetylene torch, well below the melting point of pure Aluminium

·         Melting temperature. Between 717 and 737 Degrees Fahrenheit or  392 degrees Celsius.

·         Requires No Flux. Metal-to-Metal Bond. 100% Metal Alloy.

·         Brazes all Aluminium Alloys, including zinc, magnesium, pot metal, and cast.

·         Stronger than the Base Metal - up to 45,900 PSI.

·         Stores Safely and Indefinitely in a dry environment.

 

HTS-2000 is a "Second Generation" flux- less low-heat brazing rod for non ferrous metals. HTS-2000 will successfully join all aluminium alloys.

When drawn or rubbed over heated aluminium, HTS-2000 penetrates the aluminium oxide, creating a molecular bond. Electrochemical corrosion is never a problem, because the electrode potential between HTS-2000 and aluminium is so slight. HTS-2000 joints last permanently in normal or protected environments. They will endure 10 years or longer under severe conditions. HTS-2000 joints are evaluated as permanent, corrosion resistant.

I now offer a steel handled angled brush. This type is an improvement over the welders tooth brush: longer reach and penetrates into the joint. The handle is steel (fire proof) and the heads are replaceable.

Why the 2.4mm x 230mm / 9 inch Rods!

• I find the 18 inch rods when doing detailed work a burden. they are just too long. great if your doing large brazing work where your feeding in a large quantity of rod to fill joints. If you run out of rod keep spares to hand.

• Using large letter postage we are able to offer a faster more competitive price. This stuff is expensive.
  

• Storage of rods its much easier to wrap up or bag short rods for storage.

• You will always get a short piece of rod which is too short to feed into the workpiece safely. In the case of a short rod this is extra wastage. you can either: discard it which is unfavourable as this stuff in expensive, grip it with a set of pliers, 

• Pre-tinning method - Prepare both parts heat smaller part first and tin the mating surface, this will cool and allow the part to be turned over. Heat and tin the larger part mate the two together and align. Heat the parts until the solder melts a slight amount of pressure maybe required. Fill in around the joint carefully without dislodging the parts using a one way brush application technique. Allow to cool Job done.
