WW2 US Army M7 Waterproof Carrier reproduction for the M5 assault.
The M5 mask was issued for the first wave of US troops on D-Day, carried in the M7 bag. It was worn on the chest by the troops in the landing of the aircraft and tied to the legs of the paratroopers. The air in the M7 carrier made the bag a float, and is credited with saving the lives of soldiers who have been dropped into deep water.
Made of black coated canvas complete with straps and roller closure with metal automatic buttons.
The front is complete with the correct text and design in olive green.
