A very stunning brand new Handmade Persian rug. The style is that of Kazak. It is to made emulate the real Kazak that has been woven for hundred of years. Other dealers refer to this as an antique wash rugs. The reason behind that is the hues and deliberate variation of colors to make these rugs look old. Persian rugs have been woven in the Middle and far east for hundred if not thousand of years. Weaving was done in Russia, China, Turkey , India, and Persia ( Iran). Persia was the only country that regulated the craft by establishing weaving centers throughout the Persian Empire in the 16th century, hence the name Persian rugs.
In the the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the name started to refer to any handmade rug regardless of the country of origin.
