This is a lovely example of a 1950-1960's calatrava style vintage watch in outstanding condition throughout.
The large 37mm case wears very well, even on a bigger wrist (see photo 7 on my 7.5" wrist) and is delightfully thin. The chrome plating is in very good condition overall with minor chipping on some sharp edges (see photos) and there are no dings or deep scratches - it presents well on the wrist. The embossed caseback is clean and sharp.
The sunburst silver dial is near-pristine and has beautiful applied polished silver markers, and the gold hands are undamaged.
The high quality signed 21 jewel AS1130 hand-wound movement is running strong and keeping near-perfect time (see photo 9) - it is a 'Wehrmachtswerk' movement made to military specifications and is very robust.
The acrylic crystal is free from scratches, cracks and chips.
It is fitted with a new 18mm black leather band with a silver buckle, which complements the watch perfectly.

For a watch of this age it is in great condition, and is ready to wear and enjoy.
