Pianta straordinaria, diffusa e apprezzata in tutto il mondo, originaria del Sud Africa, ha foglie che crescendo si aprono a ventaglio, la sua fioritura blu rossa è unica nel suo genere e ricorda becchi di uccelli tropicali , di crescita moderata, e resistente al freddo (USDA 9a in su ) la pianta è molto diffusa per il suo valore ornamentale, permette di essere coltivata anche in vaso senza grossi problemi, molto apprezzata la sua collocazione in vasi da arredo come patio, piscine o altro, le piante verranno spedite con vaso e pane di terra.
