Alice's Adventures In Wonderland is a whimsical tale following the story of a young girls travels into Wonderland, it is a tale that is loved by all generations and is one that has never gone out of print since the story was first conceived by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, in 1865.

This £5 Coin features an illustration of Alice and Cheshire Cat by Sir Jon Terriel that is taken from the first publication of this book. The obverse features Jody Clark's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
