Here is both a rare and fabulous 19th century find... an absolutely lovely pale green parianware or porcelain bisque pitcher made by Edward Walley, in England, marked and dated with it's registration mark on the bottom April 18th, 1856. This gorgeous molded high relief porcelain bisque pitcher celebrated President George Washington on the United States of America. It depicts Washington in full uniform on one side, and Washington embracing wife Martha on the other side. It also features crossed flags and the US shield, a pike with liberty cap and a laurel wreath that wraps the front of the pitcher. This magnificent molded high relief pitcher has a beautiful triple bamboo twig handle and says "American Independence" on a scroll that rolls out of Washington's  left hand while he holds his sword in his right. Washington also appears in it's mark registry on the bottom.

This delightful pitcher stands 8 1/4 inches tall and measures 6 inches across, handle to spout. As shown in my multiple photographs from all sides, this wonderful 163 year old English parian pitcher is in very good condition commensurate with it's age, free of any cracks, chips, or hairlines. It has some very old minor staining to  the spout from original use but this does not detract from it's stunning presentation. At times over the years Minton has been credited with the design of this piece because of the exquisite detail in the molding. I will be sure this pitcher is very carefully packed and boxed for shipping.

In my final photograph, you see this lovely green parian pitcher with two other pieces of marked fabulous molded antique English parianware , both bearing registration numbers from 1852 and in a basket weave pattern, with the lidded sugar bowl including floral handles and finial and the large pitcher having a molded rope handle. I believe these other two pieces to be unmarked Ridgway and they are available in my Ebay store through separate auctions.
