With these tools: -Set the belt very precisely to the right tension by turning the wignut (only with your hands, not with pliers) until you have the right belt tension. -Uninstall and install the airco belt with great ease and without damage. Workshop information on the belt tension of the cdi alternator belt: for the smart cdi 451, the belt tension should be around 330N. The retention limit is 200N. For the smart cdi 450, the adjustment value for initial assembly of the belt is 450N. The adjustment value for reassembly of the belt is 410N.
