Bio
Born in 1944 Maxwell Wilks studied at the National Gallery School, The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and with artist Shirley Bourne.
His first exhibition was in 1967 and he has since held over 30 exhibitions.
In 1982, Wilks won the Alice Bale Travel scholarship, Wilks main influences are the French Impressionists, he is also a member of several artist societies.
Wilks is represented in many collections in Australia and abroad.
