Israel ~ 9 Seasons Greetings Medals ~ 1967-1981. Upon the occasion of the New Year in 1964, the Israel Government Coins and Medals Company (IGCMC) sent to each of its subscribers and encased one Agora coin. This "Seasons Greetings" medal was the first of a series which has continued annually since. In 1966, the company issued a 30 mm cupro-nickel medal and have continued to issue a similar medal each year since. The motif of the face is changed annually, but the reverse remains the same except for a change of date.

Starting in 1973, the American Israel Numismatic Ass'n arranged with the IGCMC to produce a small quantity of Seasons Greetings medals exclusively for AINA members. The mintage of these medals was a tiny fraction of what IGCMC produced for their subscribers. For example, in 1973, the IGCMC mintage was 26,000 with a small additional quantity of 2,000 for AINA. In 1981, IGCMC mintage was 78,500 and AINA mintage was a tiny 2,154. Thus compared to the standard IGCMC Seasons Greetings medals, the AINA ones are truly rare; you just don't ever see them listed on eBay or coin dealer's web sites.
