Antique Georgian Sheffield Plate on Copper Tankard. 6¼" 16cm tall. Circa 1810.

The tankard is composed of sandwich plate that predates silver plate. Two sheets of silver are rolled between one sheet of copper and annealed together. 5 inches across the base. Judging from the thumb piece I would suggest this Piece was manufactured in Nottingham. Heart to the base of the handle.
