This thermostat is designed to cut off at 160 degrees AND NOT RESET. It acts a

a thermal safety fuse to protect the tumble dryer from overheating and causing damage to itself and the clothing inside.

So if your TD stat has failed you need to repair the fault before fitting this new part. Overheating can be caused by something

as simple as a flatten outlet hose, badly blocked filter or more costly cooling fan or electronic control failure.

If you fit this part without finding the fault and it fails on the first cycle we cannot take this back as a return.
