Here's a unique and rare book by the New York-based artist and author MATUSCHKA, best known for her 1993 self-portrait on the New York Times Sunday magazine, exposing her breastless chest following surgery for cancer. This interesting book combines Matuschka's 30 colorful abstract paintings on shopping bags and detachable postcards of the works. Writer and art critic Anthony Hayden-Guest wrote: "The shopping bag pieces in Matuschka's series are artful in every sense of that slippery word.
