Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for an attractive vintage Henriot Quimper French Faience salt glaze pottery thumb-hold candlestick called by Victorians as chambersticks. This trefoil shaped chamberstick is decorated a  peasant man with stylized flowers with a dark blue band around outer border and on thumb-hold. Sits on three molded feet. Candle cup interior is 3/4". Marked "Henriot Quimper, France" with #166 on base.

Measures 2 1/4" high and 5 7/8" wide. Weighs 7.4 ounces.

This nice chamberstick is in very good to excellent Estate condition with the only noted flaw being a small rough spot at the base of the candle cup that is unglazed and occurred at the factory during production. Please view all photos. Small production flaws and glaze inconsistencies are very common on Quimper pottery.
