US Army Repro M-51 1951 Fishtail Parkas

Based on the US Army parkas issued to the American soldiers in 1951 to cope with the freezing temperatures in the Korean war.
These iconic vintage parkas were adopted in the early sixties by a gang of scooter riding trendies and the MOD was born. As years went by and fashion changed, the parka stuck and became the most prolific symbol of the mod. This is the style of parka used by the Who and worn throughout their cult film Quadrophenia. The original parkas have not been made for years and are now very rare, selling for hundreds of pounds if you are lucky enough to find one.
These reproduction parkas are a quality made copy and feature a cotton/polyester outer shell, detachable polyester button in quilted liner, hood with drawstring, drawstring waist and bottom, two front pockets, button adjustable cuffs and heavy duty brass zip with storm flap.
