From the cast of the long-running television children's program "Captain Kangaroo" - here is a plush doll featuring Bob Keeshan (as the Captain).

This Captain Kangaroo doll was made in 1967 and is a pull string talker. He is still firmly stuffed, and is very clean considering his age. He does however have a couple of marks as explained in the condition below. Sadly, the talking pull-string doesn't works. A doll repairer either online or in person might be able to make him talk again. YouTube actually has a video for "do it yourself" repair for a pull string talker.

Bob Keeshan created and played the title role in the children's television program Captain Kangaroo, which ran from 1955 to 1984, the longest-running nationally broadcast children's television program of its day. I grew up watching Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Green Jeans and the other characters in the 1950s.

This Captain Kangaroo doll is an estate sale find and is being sold as is and as found.

• the ambience of aging is included at no extra charge.

• Condition: Missing the original hat. Pull string goes in and out, but the noise is just garble. There are seams that are detached on the pockets as shown. There is very little in the way of dirt. There is a black swish on the back of the head, and some discoloring on a hand. Overall, nice condition.
