Shipping is USPS mail. For your consideration is this very old Maritime Compass Co compass. This compass is gimbaled through the middle of the box. I think the compass itself may be bronze, as no magnet will stick to it and it is very heavy. It is still very accurate and does work with no problem. The compass box has no lid to it, but it does have heavy brass v shaped runners to hang it from it's place on the ship.  It is heavy in wait so it will be expensive to ship. I wish there was someway to date it, but I know the company that made it started in 1850. There is a crack in the wood on the bottom, but it doesn't affect anything.  Multiple purchases get reduced or free shipping depending on items sold. I deal with very delicate aged antiques. If you think my shipping is high, please realize the packing materials are not free. Sometimes it takes over an hour to pack properly so item can be shipped to you safely. This will require insurance also. Thanks for looking, and good luck!
