42mm Automatic EOS 42B displays Sunrise / Sunset. This amazing watch has a black sunburst dial. Along with the hours and minutes, it displays the current Sunrise and Sunset times with the sophisticated timing devices that measure this. This is done with two hands corresponding to two fan-form sectors for sunrise and sunset; as well as, apertures for the sunrise/sunset cams. There are set with two indented pushers on the left and right side of the watch to set the Sunrise and Sunset times.
The date display is very 3 dimensional giving a good view of the date. Around the watch face is Arabic numbers showing what hour it is. The side of the watch is nicely decorated with a coin-edge. The back is a Display Back. The black signed band is in perfect condition as is the logo stamped clasp.
There is some wear on the back of the watch were the band as worn on it. The crystal cover, front of the watch and strap are in pristine shape. Please see the pictures.
The movement is a 25 jewel auto winder with a 42 hour reserve. It is water resistant to 30M.
With its black-on-black look, and medium height of12.5mm, this watch is a very sophisticated one-of-a-kind perfect dress watchthat easily fits under a dress shirt.
If you remember, Martin Braun was originally from Germany and was frequently featured in "Watchtime" and "IW" Magazines for his unusual watches. The EOS won "Watch of the Year" in 2000. Even the top watch names don't have something as unique as a Sunrise and Sunset feature.
When I wear this out, I always get questions about it. Last time I was by the ocean timing a sunset to see if the watch was correct (it was) and a guy in a Patek came by and wanted to know about this watch. He thought it was nicer than his watch. Go figure.
