At the risk of stating the obvious, these systems compress the air in 2 stages. During the first stage, the large piston compresses the air and then the air passes into the cooler. This makes the second stage, when the air is compressed again, far more efficient. A two-stage air compressor gives you a reliable supply of compressed air and reduces the stress on the system. We have designed the ABAC PRO two stage piston compressors to cope with higher air demands and larger air tools that you find in bigger workshops.
