This is a 1/4th scale laser cut short kit for model of the 19’ Chris Craft Custom Runabout. The boat is 57 1/16” long and has an 18 9/16” beam. The kit contains 3 ea.  36” X 60” sheets of CAD plans. This model was generated from a Chris craft drawing.

The original Chris Craft drawing was imported into the CAD system; it was scaled to the 19-1/4’’ (228 1/4 length). The full-scale image was traced to give the full-size shape of the Sheer, Chine, Keel, Deck, and Frames. The lofting of the boat in the CAD system was done at full-scale. Full size .DXF files of the stations are available for someone wanting to build a full-size replica of the boat.

The Keel and Stations are ¼” Basswood. The transom is 1/8” balsa, it is designed to have 1/32 Balsa and 1/32 Mahogany veneered to the aft side. It has aircraft plywood parts to mount an Astro M860 motor in the proper position, at the proper angle, and give plus or minus 1/10^th inch adjustment up and down and side to side. The motor may be removed and replaced without disturbing the alignment. The kit contains all the cut shapes to build a beautiful model of this rare boat. All planking on the model is to be a total of 3/16 thick. It can be strips of 1/8” Balsa with 1/32” Balsa and 1/32 Mahogany planks on the outside. It could be 1/8 X 3/16 Mahogany planking. This is a Short Kit, it does not contain any wood for sheer, chine, veneer, or planking. The kit contains a Base and uprights to act as an assembly jig to support the keel and frames while the hull is assembled and planked. After assembly the base and 3 included cross pieces make a Cradle/Display stand for the model.
