This fine and rare Art Deco 1928 BULOVA Curtis or President Madison is fresh from the attic of an old rural estate in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. The 14K White Gold Filled case is etched and enameled on both the bezel and the sides – the condition is super with no dings or dents and no personalizations – the black enamel treatment on the bezel at 3 6 9 and 12 is distinctive and in a nice state of preservation. The classic rectangle case is 25mm across and 37mm lug end to end, the Speidel SS band is serviceable and not stretched out. The off-white dial has age patina, mostly consisting of surface dirt and dust  -  with careful attention, the dial may well clean up some. The dark gold numerals appear enameled and there is some harmless partial loss to 3 of them – the skeleton or squelette hand are locked in time – the watch epitomizes the elegant look of late 20s Art Deco.  The crown is brassed and may not be original. The crystal needs to be replaced as there are scratches and even a ding or two. The Cal 9AN movement is STRONG, either 17 or 21 jewels – I barely touched the crown when I first held it and it took off like a race horse. There is a plastic cover over the movement – one can see the dust accumulated over time yet the movement is running amazingly well and accurately. However, no guaranteed as it has not been serviced in many years. This is a rare and handsome gent's Swiss Art Deco 14K WGF Bulova, now 93 years old and looking like a standout in any crowd.
