You buy an Antique ,Silver plated, EPNS ,Egg Shaped  ,Salt & Pepper,jar Mustard, Condiment Set. Produced by Joseph Rodgers & Son in the 1860s in Sheffield,Great Britain. 

A famous firm of cutlers and silversmiths founded in Sheffield in 1682. It was converted under the style of Joseph Rodgers & Sons Ltd in 1871.            The factory was at 6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield and a showroom at 60 Holborn Viaduct, London. New large works were opened in 1899 at River Lane, SheffieldThe firm was active also in Sheaf Island Works, in Middlewood Forge and in Pond Hill Works.    George Rodgers was the son of Joseph Rodgers and participated to the partnership Joseph Rodgers & Sons. George Rodgers & Co active at 13 Norfolk Lane, Sheffield in 1852 was possibly linked to him and to Joseph Rodgers family.The firm used the trademark ELIT. So great was the immediate success of Rodgers' fine silverware, that in 1821 the firm was appointed official cutlers to the British Royal Family. In fact, the company was appointed cutlers to five successive British sovereigns: George IV, William IV, Queen Victoria, Edward II and George V. 

Height 115 mm-4 2/4 inches, diameter 100 mm-4 inches, weight 138 grams. Purchased from a closing sale in Bournemouth.  There are traces of use, but it is in relatively good condition for its age, after all, he is 160 years old.
