Fender Hama Okamoto's PB is renewed!
One of the most influential bassists active in the contemporary Japanese music scene, Hama Okamoto, born in 1991, formed Zut Zuretels in 2008. He has participated in many festivals and live events. He has performed at numerous festivals and live events with great success.
Although he is said to be self-taught, his playing style is exquisitely timed, and his expressive phrasing and eloquent singing are uniquely Japanese. His abilities were immediately recognized, and in 2013 he signed an endorsement contract with Fender. The long-awaited signature model was released at the end of 2015 and has now been re-released with new made-in-Japan specifications.
The recent Japanese Fender models, such as the MIJ Traditional Series and MIJ Hybrid Series, have undergone a major update in the manufacturing process under the technical guidance and supervision of Chris Fleming, the former senior master builder of the Custom Shop, and others.
The motif of this instrument is based on the 1968 Fender Precision Bass that Mr. HAMA OKAMOTO loves to use as his main instrument. The slim neck in the jazz bass style is adopted with the theme of "an easy-to-play Precision Bass that was not likely to be there". The vintage-style round paddle pegs, bridge cover, basswood body, and pickguard with a "red tortoiseshell" pattern stand out for their originality.
