ESX VMR301 Marine Media Receiver

With almost 30 years of experience in the field of car audio and know-how in the naviceiver segment, ESX is now opening another chapter with MARINE AUDIO: It starts with two marine-compatible media receivers that meet all the requirements for taking part on the high seas with good music and a high level of ease of use. What is important here is certification in protection class IP66, so the devices equipped with an LCD color display can provide good sound even in places where moisture, dust and weather influences cause problems for normal devices. Aside from marine use, thanks to their features, the easy-to-install radios can also be used in garden arbors, on tractors, in pool houses or in bathrooms.

DAB+ & BLUETOOTH ON BOARD

Easy to install thanks to the “ALL-IN” philosophy: In addition to the FM tuner, ESX has also integrated a very high-quality “Made in Europe” DAB+ tuner, which does not require the usual externally installed components. It ensures optimal digital reception, especially in the peripheral areas of the tightly packed European broadcasting areas. If you are traveling a little further out, i.e. without radio reception, the music can be “streamed” wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth directly into the device as an audio signal.

COLOR LCD & KNOB

Conventional marine radios often only have a simple monochrome display. ESX VMR receivers have high-resolution LCD color displays that enable clear menu navigation including the display of station logos. The centrally located, large rotary control offers further convenience, with which you can easily adjust the volume without having to press annoying +/- rockers. As an additional “controller”, an optionally available cable remote control can be permanently installed elsewhere on the boat to control the functions. A color camera can be connected to the video input, which can be used either for room surveillance of areas or for reversing parking. An external monitor can also be controlled.

VMR301 vs. VMR303 / 1 or 3 zones

The VMR301 is a 1-zone device with 4 x 50 watts of power. The basic functions (volume, source) can also be operated from another location in this zone using the optional VMR301C remote control. The VMR303 even has 3 zone control + sub-output. For example, if there is a bedroom (e.g. Zone 2) or bathroom (e.g. Zone 3) below deck, music can be played there at separate volumes. This requires an additional amplifier and the optional VMR303C remote control.
