Original gouache & watercolor painting  by  Native American listed artist Quincy Tahoma, (Navajo, 1917 or 1920 or 1921 - 1956; the date is his birth is disputed).  Serene depiction of barefoot Navajo woman / girl  bottle feeding  a  lamb; this image is similar to the one on page 151 of the Quincy Tahoma book.  The painting is in excellent condition, the brilliant colors are still strong; signed & dated 1952.  Signed lower right  with his “thumbnail” vignette or cartouche that Quincy used;  he referred to it as "the next chapter" as it depicts what action would ensue.  Image measures 8.25 by 6.5 inches; double matted and framed to 14 by 12 inches; the glass produces a reflection in some of the images.  This is ready to hang.
