This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING of this poster by Jules Cheret.

Naming a nineteenth-century women’s clothing store after an eighteenth-century novel by Rousseau imparts a bit of high-drama into an industry overrun by the generic. As the novel is fraught with passion, one can assume they relied on the female obsession with the Romantic to bring in customers.

It is in A- condition ( unobtrusive folds) and measures approximately 33 1/4 x 47 inches.

Poster has been laid on linen for preservation.
