Rare first edition Printing Barbara’s Philippine Journey 1913 Jane Andrews Burks.

Extremely rare first edition of a classic young reader book. A 1925 first edition first printing of a classic story written in 1913 by Frances Williston Burks, Barbara’s Philippine Journey with an introduction by frank M. McMurry from Columbia university illustrated by Herman heyer, earl horter, and G.W. Peters published by world book company Yonkers-on-Hudson. Compared to Jane andrews seven little sisters and each as all.

I’m not a book dealer but I’ve researched as much as I can about this book and it appears to be a first edition first printing and that 1925 was when this story from 1913 was published but correct me if I may be wrong please.

Very good condition for age! Inside cover has an inscribed name in pencil, above is remnants of a sticker that peeled off easily and did not damage the page however I did not try very hard to remove what remains for fear of damaging. I assume it could be removed very carefully or with some kind of appropriate solution. The rest of the book is very good condition, no markings just one small page fold mark in corner. Binding is solid. Wear to all edges of cloth bound hardcover as pictured and a few small stains on back.
