The NI USB-8476 module is a single-port LIN interface that connects PCs to LIN networks and devices. The NI USB-8476 provides software-selectable master/slave terminals that allow users to comprehensively monitor, document, and test the entire LIN network. The NI USB-8476 includes NI-CAN driver software that provides a powerful frame-based API for rapid application development.

The convenient all-in-one design includes a 2-meter USB integrated cable and built-in transceiver 

to quickly run applications without additional cables or accessories. The USB-8476 controller 

is powered by USB. The LIN physical layer is powered by VBat (required for the LIN bus) 

and has a standard channel-to-bus isolation voltage of up to 500 VDC for up to 2 seconds.

Hardware time stamping helps users record information down to microsecond time stamps and 

reconstruct network events. The USB-8476 interface connects to the LIN via a 9-pin male D-Sub (DB9) connector.
