This is a very rare and Exceptionally Preserved Mid-Century radio  -  the 1947 Federal 1040TB butterscotch and vanilla mottled Plaskon case is literally flawless – no chips, no cracks, flakes or nicks – NOTHING TO FAULT – the gold and red foil dial is 100% and the bottom paper label is also 100%. The knobs are original, the back is intact and complete – this handsome Art Deco tube radio with full wraparound louvers is absolutely as is was in 1947 – 73 years ago. I have sold hundreds of radios and never go to this extent in lavishing accolades on a cabinet but this is a pristine gem and I haven’t even wiped it off. The radio needs to be serviced, when plugged in nothing happens – probably not turned on in 70 years. This seldom seen radio is desirable in brown and much scarcer in the Plaskon mottled case  -   Acquired from a several generation estate in rural Cumberland County, Penna.  -  buyer pays 19.95 safe bubble shipping and tracking EAST of the Mississippi  -  ***NOTE*** shipping is 29.95 West of the Mississippi
