The Suburban line of RV water heaters are the best on the road today and so it's no surprise they are the most installed HWS in Caravans, Pop Tops, Camper Trailers and Motorhomes. The new SW6DERA model replaces the discontinued SW6DEA model.

The Suburban SW6DERA is a high recovery gas and gas-electric HWS. It's compliant with all required regulations and is approved to the WaterMark Certification, Regulatory Compliance Mark and Australia and New Zealand Gas Safety Certification. The Hot Water System features a porcelain lined, high tensile steel tank which is pressure tested twice to assure tank integrity and long life.

This Suburban operates on universal gas & 240V and has a 12V ignitor. The SW6DERA is an automatic model featuring direct spark ignition with a remote switch for on/off control from inside the RV. As with all Suburban models, gas consumption is kept to a minimum making Suburban a super-efficient unit and ideal for long trips away, where gas efficiency is of utmost importance. All Suburban Hot Water Systems have an anode rod that equalizes aggressive water action, providing cathodic protection for the tank. It is a very important factor in tank life and should only be removed for inspection, draining or replacement. The rods are designed to be easily replaced when required.

This package includes a "White" Service Door. The "Black" Service Door package is available as a separate listing. Please note the new service doors are not compatible with the older SW6DEA model and vice versa.

Key Features:

  • Longer Life. Heated water attacks all metals, but not porcelain. That’s why Suburban uses a porcelain-lined, steel water heater tank with an anode rod to “absorb” the electrolytic action - just like your water heater at home.
  • Faster Recovery. Fast recovery means more hot water and fewer cool water cycles. Suburban uses a copolymer insulation jacket specially molded to fit the tank which does a better job of retaining heat than some other models. For higher recovery, both the gas and electric element may be used simultaneously.
  • More Convenience.  All Suburban water heaters are designed for easy installation, operation and maintenance. The limit switch, reset button are conveniently located in a housing behind the removable outer door. The electric heat element and combination drain plug/anode rod are also located there.

Installation must be completed by a tradesperson licensed to install Gas and 240V appliances.

Some of our items have a 3-year manufacturers warranty - such as the Coast Sunscreens and the Adco Covers. If an item has a 3-year warranty this will be clearly advertised in the product description.

What is your returns policy?

If your product is faulty it will be covered under warranty.

For change of mind returns, we have a thirty-day return policy, with some exclusions.
Returned products must be unused and in the original packaging.

Remote Locations: 

Please note postage to WA (Outside of Perth), Remote & Regional TAS, Far North QLD and NT may incur additional shipping fees. Please check with us before purchasing if this may apply to you.

Our Courier services use the road network and while we dispatch daily it can take some time for items to be delivered from Sydney to FNQ, NT and WA. If you are in NT or WA, please allow up to 2 weeks delivery.

Postage for Returns

We offer free shipping to send items out to you. However, if you choose to return an item you during the 30 Change of Mind period you are required to post it back at your own cost.  This is no different to a bricks and mortar store. If you buy a top at the shops and then decide you dont want it, you will need to drive to the shop to return it, the shop wont drive to you. Items can not be returned without an RMA number. 

All eBay returns incure our 20% restocking fee. When you purchase through eBay you agree to this at the checkout. This is to cover the cost of checking the item for use or damage and the cost of the postage that was incured to send it to you. By purchasing this item you agree to these terms. 

Change of Address

No changes of address can be made once an item is picked and submitted to our courier or in transit. It is the buyers responsibility to put the correct address on their order. 

Please ensure your order is correct before submitting it. Note we are not able to check all messages in ebay before sending items and can not guarentee we will pick up messages about alternate delivery addresses.  If you have sent your item to the wrong address we recommend you contact the courier company quoting the tracking number and seek advice.
