3. Use and maintenance and precautions

 

1. This electrode has two kinds of bright and platinum-plated black. The purpose of platinum-plated black is to increase the effective area of the electrode sheet, prevent and weaken the polarization of the electrode, and it is more suitable to use platinum-plated black electrode for the solution of measuring conductivity.

2. For electrodes plated with platinum black, it can be soaked in deionized water before use to prevent the inerting of platinum black.

3. When the platinum black coating falls off or fades, the platinum black must be re-plated to ensure the accuracy of the measured data.

4. The conductivity cell constant marked on the electrode when the electrode leaves the factory is for reference. To check whether the marked conductivity cell constant is accurate or not, the conductivity value C of the corresponding standard solution can be found according to the concentration and temperature of the tested solution. The measured conductivity meter displays the value P to calculate the conductivity cell constant K: K=C/P.
