The tabletop looper that established itself as a world standard has evolved into the RC-505mkII with next-generation power and flexibility. Numerous enhanced features provide an even greater leap forward in looping performance. Five stereo tracks with best-in-class sound quality, plus TRACK and FX buttons that can be assigned to any function; up to four INPUT FX and four TRACK FX can be used simultaneously; and up to four INPUT FX and four TRACK FX can be used simultaneously. The RC-505 also features expanded input and output systems, a mixer function, and other enhancements long sought by RC-505 users. The RC-505mkII is the ideal looper for stage performers, from beatboxers and vocalists to multi-instrumentalists.
The 505, a legitimate evolution of the 505
The RC-505mkII retains the qualities that made the RC-505 so popular with so many users, but with new features for more creative performance and unprecedented flexibility. The fader stroke has been extended to add just the right amount of tension to the operation, allowing for more subtle and precise control. New FX and TRACK buttons have also been added to each track. These buttons provide instant control over looped phrases and effects. A revolutionary mark-back function has been added to undo/redo to undo/resurrect the last recording. A single button press will take you to a pre-defined loop status.
Customize the best for you
While the RC-505 was also highly customizable, the RC-505mkII pushes the envelope even further. The FX and TRACK buttons on each track can be changed to any function. Pressing the UNDO/REDO button reveals another layer, and each button can be assigned a different function than the first layer. Two CTL jacks are provided for adding external footswitches or expression pedals, providing a full range of control extensions. Up to 16 separate assignable functions can be assigned to the main unit or external pedals, allowing multiple functions to be controlled by a single trigger. The possibilities are even greater when you take advantage of the MIDI input and output.
