Since swallows mate for life and always return home, they were often given as, "Tokens of Love and Affection," or, "Sweetheart Gifts."

This is a Lovely Antique Swallow Love Token in Good Antique Condition.
circa: Early 1900's
MEASUREMENTS: 1" Wide x 3/8" High, approximately
MATERIALS:
Fine Guilloche Engraving Coated with Bright Turquoise Blue Enamel on Gilt Metal
CLOSURE:
Pin with Open C-Catch Clasp (Pin does not open all the way, but opens wide enough to put the pin on.)
~SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT~
CONDITION: Good Antique Condition. Bright Turquoise Blue Enamel. Clasp hinge is a bit pinched, (See last 2 pics.) so pin does not open all the way. (See pic #4 to see how far it opens, which is still enough to put it on and does not affect the pin's presentation.). Light wear to the gilt metal and enamel. A few tiny nips to the enamel.
