The silver Humongous / Humungus fly originates from Scotland and is a great pulling pattern for rainbow and brown trout on larger stillwaters. The chain beadhead on the Humongous / Humungus gives it a good dipping motion and has palmered hackle down the body for added sparkle and a marabou tail that creates great pulsating movement with added tinsel making this fly versatile and deadly. The silver Humongous / Humungus can be fished on its own or as the point fly with a team of flies such as a Diawl Bach. A proven method is to strip the fly then stop, causing the fly to raise and fall which can appear to be a injured bait fish to feeding trout, it is especially effective when fish are fry bashing.
