His work on Tubercolosis and scurvy among the black populations led to changes in government policy in his time and after. The thick paper cover is mild and sober with some wear, tear and tanning. It is however secure and sure. The thick board covers are smart and benign. The contents are in very good condition throughout. The title page has a publisher's stamp.
