5 SPEED GEARBOX CODE: DTA, EBD, EBF, EBS, EGU, EHA, EKU, ENJ, EVS, EWZ, EKW, EWY, EXA

It is >>ESSENTIAL<< that you check or know your gearbox ID number. To find your gearbox code remove your plastic engine/gearbox cover. It should be located on the gearbox housing. If you are unable to find the number contact your Volkswagen dealer. Make sure it is one of those listed. If not then the shifter will not fit.
