Heinrich & Co Selb Bavaria soup bowl, TM James & Sons, Kansas City
  • Wonderful vintage soup bowl with pink flowers and blue scroll on the decorative trim. 
  • Marked as having been made "expressly for T. M. James and Sons". According to the Kansas City Public Library website, this business was described as being "[w]holesale and retail dealers in crockery, glassware and cutlery and direct importers of French china, Main, Sixth and Delaware Streets," headed by Thomas James, or T. M. James. The business was established in 1863 at 558-560 Main Street and 551-553 Delaware Street by Thomas James, an uncle of the outlaw Jesse James.
  • The numbers 577 appear on the back of the bowl.

CONDITION:
  • Good vintage condition. 
  • No chips, cracks, or damage. 
  • There are a few light scratches and small areas of discoloration due to age and use. 
  • Decorative trim shows some wear, particularly on lower portions that dip farther into the bowl.
