Disney's The Aristocats Cinema Standee.

This was part of a cinema lobby display for the 1994 UK cinema re-release of The Aristocats.

I worked in a cinema at the time, and have had this ever since. Recently rediscovered it stored behind a wardrobe in my folk's house, I'd forgotten about it.

It's big, approx 5 feet 8 inches tall by 3 feet 10 inches wide. 69 inches by 47 inches. 175 cm by 120 cm. Please see the pics with the tape measure.

It's in generally good condition for it's age. The 'Walt Disney's Classic' white writing at the top has some age/sun related yellowing, please see the first couple of pics. Some creasing on the left side in the middle. It was supplied to the cinema folded so there's a fold line halfway down. The rear has some dried glue residue from being separated from the backing part. 

Apart from the flaws mentioned above the front is otherwise a lovely display piece.

Originally it had a front piece the bottom plugged into/sat upon, and the rear glue indicates there would have been something it attached to, but as it was 28 years ago I can't remember what. Over the last few months I've scoured the internet, done reverse image searches, and set up search alerts on eBay, but haven't been able to find a pic of this standee anywhere else, if anyone reading this knows of such a pic/source, I'd love to see it.

If I remember correctly, at the time Disney required promo materials like this to be sent back or destroyed, they didn't want them reaching the public, I have a vague memory of smuggling this out of a fire exit and into the back of a car! 

I've asked a few online cinema memorabilia specialists, and eBay sellers for a likely valuation of it, but no-one has wanted to put a price on it due to it being such an unusual and rare piece. I've set the Buy It Now price quite high but please do make offers.
