1930’S GIO PONTI FOR RICHARD GINORI CERAMICS ART DECO SET OF 5 TILES RARE

Part of the "Ermione" Art Deco tile collection, this set of 5 tiles shows traditional works of the countryside.

Il civettaro “The Owl Man” – numbered 2 on back

La mietitrice “The Reaper” – numbered 3 on back – ¼” chip on back corner, not visible from front. Small glaze lump on lower left front corner

Il cacciatore “The Hunter” – numbered 4 on back

Il viandante “The Wayfarer” – numbered 4 on back, has ½” hairline crack under the glaze, right side behind butterfly

L’acquaiolo “The Waterman” – numbered 5 on back – has ¼” glaze defect on lower right corner

Marked on back in the mold, R G M for Richard Ginori Milan; tiles numbered in center; 364 series number, other initials

“MADE IN ITALY”

Approx. 5 ¾” square by ¼” deep.

Excellent Pre-owned vintage condition consistent with age and use. See individual descriptions. Some color runs from hand painting. No cracks other than noted, no crazing. Colors are crisp & clear. I'll be glad to provide additional photos upon request.
