- Traditional Sri Lankan 'Peacock' or Mayura masks are brought to life by this craftsman, who delicately carves them out of soft balsa wood. These masks, contrary to their name, are usually applied in traditional types of dancing, as well as in stage dramas and to ward off evil spirits.
- The Peacock masks are made from a light, soft wood called kaduru, which is smoke-dried before the mask is carved and the timber is light and durable.
- All masks that are on display and for sale have been patiently hand carved with very detailed designs and painted in white and black which depicts the traditional inheritance
